Bechdel Test

If you frequently watch movies you might’ve heard of the Bechdel Test. The Bechdel test is made up of 3 rules; there has to be at least 2 women in the movie, these women have to talk to each other and their conversation has to be about something other than a man.

Seems very simple right? You would be surprised how many movies fail the Bechdel test despite its simplicity, the test has been used to measure how well movies represent women, leading it to be used more and more frequently over time. There have been criticisms about the test due to its simplicity but despite it many movies still fail the test.
